Attorneys for President Donald Trump returned to the Supreme Courtroom on Friday to ask the justices for the second day in a row to dam a requirement for his earnings tax returns — this one from Home Democrats.
On Thursday, Trump’s lawyers asked the Supreme Court to hear their appeal of a lower-court ruling that would allow the Manhattan District Legal professional’s Workplace to obtain eight years’ worth of Trump’s personal and corporate tax returns from his accountants as a part of its prison investigation.
In their emergency application filed on Friday, Trump’s attorneys requested the justices to quickly halt one other subpoena for his tax returns to issued to his accountants at Mazars USA by the Home Oversight Committee. The agency has stated it should hand over the information whether it is required to.
